Volkswagen & Audi introduced component lock (anti-theft/immobilizer) function to their newer transmission control modules to help fighting unauthorized swap of the control unit. If a TCU/TCM is faulty and has been replaced, a component unlock is therefore required.
Note: You don’t need to unlock the unit if you choose to clone the SW from your original unit to the new one.
Typical error messages:
Contains Component protection (Component protection active) The control unit is currently associated with a VIN other than the vehicle VIN or the control unit VIN
You need the following tools to perform component unlock:
VAG diagnosis tool (like VAS5054A, VAS 6154) to connect to your vehicle ODIS software A VW/Audi account depending on the vehicle
Procedure for unlocking TCU:
Run a diagnosis in your ODIS software Locate and select the entry “Component protection” Click on “Perform test…” Click on “Done/Continue” Enter the required information. (Activation number can be your own record number) Enter your VW/Audi online account credentials Click on “OK” On success, ODIS should display “The component protection base programming has been carried out successfully.” Click on “Done” Follow the instructions provided by ODIS End of your component base programming Go back to the test screen and you should see a green check mark before component protection Perform basic settings using guided functions Erase your previous fault codes You may now load your SW into the TCU if needed. If you don’t have the flash program, you may contact your Shing Hoi representative.

1.Use the task manager to enter the computer desktop, you can use the key combination, press ESC+shift+Ctrl, or Ctrl+Alt+Del;
In the task manager window, select “File”-“Run newtask”, enter explorer, “open” to show the windows desktop;
2.Windows desktop, move the mouse to the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Right-click on the taskbar-select “Show the desktop” to show the windows computer desktop.
3.Click This PC or file browser, open My Computer, browse to find the certificate file.

If you cannot use a USB flash drive to copy files to your computer, you can use your email, Microsoft onedrive or mega network disk, upload the file and download it to the Porsche computer disk via the network.(Because of the Porsche Piwis system, mobile devices are prohibited)
If you want to install software or drivers, you need to use Task Manager to Stop AdminService.
It has been tested and confirmed by OBD2.LTD engineer that PCMtuner 1.21 ECU programmer can read AUDI A3 1800 TFSI 160 2006-2016 Bosch MED17.5 TC1766 on Bench successfully.
What you should do before operation:
You need to install PCMtuner V1.21 software package on your computer (Win7 or Win10). The Scamatik Setup Wizard, Guardant Drivers, pcmtuner software and pcmflash software are included in the PCMtuner software package.
Don’t install other software on t on PCMtuner, otherwise the device will be locked, and this damage is not covered by the warranty.
After installation, you need to register a PCMTUNER software account
Complete user registration with the full name, company name, email, phone and country, and submit it. Remember to offer your email to our customer service to help you activate the account. (Reference: PCMTuner V1.21 Software Download + Driver Installation Guide)
When the Tuner account is activated, it’s ready to use the pcmtuner software.
Open PCM Tuner software
Click ECU OPERATIONS>> VEHICLE TYPE>> Volkswagen
Input MED17.5 in the search box to search the ECU model quickly
Find out Audi-A3-1800 TFSI (160 hp), then click ‘Show’
Click ‘BENCH’
You can click instructions to see the method, operation difficulty, checksum, collaboration file size and backup.
Pull down the page, and you can see the wiring diagram and operation steps.
Then click ‘READ and WRITE’
When it prompts ‘An updated version was found on the server. Would you like to download build 1.2.5 releases on 2022-02-20?”, just click ‘No’ to continue.
It will enter PCMflash software
Click ‘Settings’ to select the language you need. It only supports English and Russian so far.

How to Program 2013+ Toyota 8A/4A Proximity all keys lost with Lonsdor K518ISE and ADP Adapter?
A new smart key to be programmed (Lonsdor Toyota smart key or OEM key)

generate emergency key successfully use the emergency key to turn the ignition on, then program a new key Step 3: Add Smart key Select Add smart key Turn on ignition switch with LKE emulator key Confirm software number turn ignition off and turn on emergency indicators Load PEPS DFlash file to acquire 12-Digit PIN

Lonsdor K518 detected 2 keys have been registered, and up to 5 keys can be registered. 1). Hold the registered smart key’s back or generated emergency key closer to the Start button, the buzzer beeps once, 2). Hold the smart key to be registered back closer to Start button, the buzzer beeps twice, then remove the key from the button

Step 4: Delete key Select Delete Smart Key function
Make sure you have WiFi connection and PEPS is properly connected to the vehicle This function is used to delete all absent keys.
Keys that do not touch the ignition switch will be deleted and cannot be registered to use. Turn on the ignition switch Turn ignition off and turn on emergency indicators Load PEPS Dflash file to acquire 12-digit PIN
Keep the keys to be saved close to the ignition switch
Th reset keys without close the ignition switch will be deleted. key has been deleted.
